It all began with a passion for Deen and drawing youth closer to the mosque. Involvement in a local youth initiative created a fun, safe space for young people. Through this work, we inspired and empowered the community. It was here that the spark for Al-Hijaab Boutique was born. We aimed to motivate young girls to wear the hijab with haya (modesty) while proving they could still be fashionable.

However, finding elegant, modest clothing locally was a real challenge. The few options around were ridiculously expensive for the quality. On top of that, there was no variety. It felt like everyone wore the same hijab and nothing matched current fashion trends.

In 2018, Al-Hijaab Boutique was born to change that. We started small, offering just basic headscarves and scarf pins. In those early days, I felt incredibly humbled and blessed. Many young girls explained that they always wanted to wear the hijab but simply could not afford it. Helping them fulfil their Deeni goals brought so much joy to my heart. I realised I could source better quality and unique designs at a modest price. Ensuring beautiful modest wear was accessible to everyone and not just to a select few.

Shukr Alhamdulillah! Through your incredible support, we quickly expanded the collection to include handbags, mussalahs and more.

Fast forward to today by the Rahma of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, we have successfully launched our e-commerce platform!
