It all began with a passion for promoting Deen and inspiring young people in Port Elizabeth to embrace the hijab with Haya (modesty). As I journeyed down this path, I quickly recognised a lack of modesty retailers in the area. The few which existed either charged prices only a handful could afford or fell short in style variety.
In 2018, Al-Hijaab Boutique was born to provide modern Muslims with affordable modest clothing and accessories. We started off offering headscarves and basic scarf pins, but it wasn’t long before we expanded our collection to include handbags, A-line dresses, and diverse hijab accessories.
Fast forward to today, and a new chapter has begun! Thanks to the Rahma of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’Allah, we’ve successfully transitioned to an e-commerce platform. We’re excited to announce the launch of our winter collection, featuring ponchos, shawls, and loungewear. Al-Hijaab Boutique aims to be the one-stop shop for women seeking their favourite modest items.
While we don’t have a physical store, customers are welcome to view our products by appointment. Additionally, we participate in various markets throughout Port Elizabeth.
